Adoption of Telemedicine - Challenges and Opportunities

摘要: U.S. health care system is plagued by rising cost and limited access. While the of increasing faster than rate inflation, people living in rural areas have very access to quality due a shortage physicians facilities these areas. Information communication technologies general telemedicine particular offer great promise extend underserved communities at an affordable cost. However, adoption among various stakeholders has not been encouraging. Based on analysis extant research literature, this study identifies critical factors that impede telemedicine, offers suggestions mitigate challenges.
