摘要: Abstract Objectives: To examine the effects of migration, diversity migrant origins, commuting, and socioeconomic status on incidence acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in childhood. Design: Poisson regression analysis rates relation to variables interest. Setting: The 403 county districts England Wales during 1979–85. Subjects: Children aged under 15 years. Results: There were significant trends at ages 0–4 5–9 years with proportion children a district who had recently entered district. While there was no consistent between recent incomers total population its rate, combination higher migration greater origins or distance moved associated both age groups. Incidence increased significantly level employment households access car. No found commuting. Conclusions: results for child provide evidence an effect mixing childhood which is not restricted areas experiencing most extreme levels mixing.
