摘要: Ninety-two percent of Gram positive cocci detected in estuarine and marine surface waters were identified as Staphylococcus spp. Micrococcus Streptococcus rarely isolated from seawater, except at dump site stations located the Puerto Rico Trench area Atlantic Ocean, where they present unusually large numbers. Staphylococci greatest abundance near land, but also found open ocean low, relatively constant, epidermidis, or strains related to Staph. hominis, all samples. water samples collected degraded a wide range compounds. It is considered that these derived wastes dumped, very few unpolluted those cases which stimulatory factors, such disposal wastes, do not play role, will be recovered unless volumes are filtered. The low numbers natural seawater and, therefore, commonly overlooked. significance bacteria nutrient cycles sea remains elucidated. Documentation widespread occurrence North Eastern provided.
