摘要: The pathogenicity of five species coagulase-negative staphylococci was evaluated using a seven-day mouse model with preadhered foreign body. S.epidermidis and S.lugdunensis produced 68–100% abscesses; 74–100% samples were culture positive. S.hominis, S.warneri S.capitis fewer abscesses less organism recovery. Some elaborated lipase, esterase, DNase, and/or alpha delta hemolysins. All strains glycocalyx.
