摘要: Ambient factors such as temperature, lighting, and air quality influence occupants’ productivity behavior. Although these are regulated by industry standards monitored the facilities management groups, perceptions vary from actual values due to various building schedules occupancy, occupant activity preferences, weather climate, placement of sensors. While comfort surveys sometimes conducted, they generally limited one-time or periodic assessments that do not fully represent experiences throughout operations. This study proposes a new methodology for gathering real time data on continuous basis through participatory sensing ambient in indoor environments based smart phone application. The developed application is presented validated pilot university building. Occupant temperature compared records. No correlation found between perceived room temperatures demonstrating potential tool adaptively controlling ranges.
