摘要: We examined potential fertility, egg volume, and water, lipid, fatty acid content through embryogenesis in a population of female U. rapax from Sebastian Inlet, Florida. Carapace width (CW) ranged 10.80 to 20.09 mm (N = 184), each carried 5000 30,000 eggs the last stage development. Female CW was found be good predictor number later development (potential fertility 7.908 CW2.7655, R2 0.749). Egg volume increases (from 0.0079 0.0134 mm3) mildly correlated (r 0.79) with an increase water 60 69%). lipid decreased embryogenesis, due its importance as energy source. The most consumed acids were monounsaturated (97.81 μg . mg dw−1) followed by saturated (64.34 μg · mg polyunsaturated (38.69 dw−1). Fatty 16:0, 18:2n-6, 16:1n-7, 18:2n-6 are preferentially (39.91, 38.45, 29.4 23.93 dw−1, respectively), while essential acids, particularly docosahexaenoic (22:6n-3) eicosapentaenoic (20:5n-3), conserved. profile also reflects diet habitat adults. A medium-low EPA/DHA ratio suggests occupies medium trophic level. low (18:1n-7/18:1n-9) high percentages 18:1n-9 (18%) C18 C20 (19-23%) adults omnivores consuming primary producers (like algae mangrove leaves) small invertebrates. percentage odd-numbered (above 3-3.5%) scavenger/detritivore behaviour.
