摘要: Abstract In this paper, a method for determining fault movements by inversion of GPS baseline changes with priori information is proposed. To demonstrate the validity non-linear method, numerical experiment using theoretical data random noise presented. Based on work, active segments at Red River zone in Southwest China have been determined (August 1988–October 1991). Inverted results indicate two zone: segment and Jianchuan-Lijiang segments. It found that there apparent creep depth range 11.6–31.2 km Jianchua -Lijiang during period, therefore according to length area inverted segment, it predicted an earthquake magnitude M s = 6.8–7.0 may occur few years.
