摘要: Abstract Cores obtained by deep sea drilling in the Indian Ocean provide a sedimentary record from which are deduced changing patterns of sedimentation through Late Mesozoic and Cenozoic. Comparisons between: (1) empirical subsidence curves sediment sequences at individual sites; (2) paleobathymetric reconstruction maps past distributions, convincingly demonstrate interrelationship tectonic development within this most recently formed major oceans.
