摘要: A Self Calibrating Color Printer. The present invention enables color printers to accurately reproduce images despite variations in ink, paper or the printing system. calibrated printer includes a movable optical sensor assembly which first calibrates itself by measuring an included known gamut located within movement range of assembly. Once calibrated, measures print test pattern newly printed head printer. An analog-to-digital converter transforms electrical signals from values digital form, enabling control processor process measured data, thereby producing two look-up tables stored memory: first, correction table adjusts image account for ink/paper variations, and second, error diffusion spreads value errors at given pixel its neighbors. creates these and, is able via associated electronics faithfully onto paper. moveable provide accurate, inexpensive durable apparatus calibrating any Printer disclosed claimed this patent applications provides advanced, accurate relatively instrument true reproduction detailed images.
