摘要: Abstract The process of Continuous Replenishment Planning (CRP), whereby manufacturers manage the inventories for their customers, provides participating with opportunity to serve customers better by reducing and stockouts thereby gain a competitive edge. This study examines experiences 10 Fortune 500 consumer products manufacturing companies in applying CRP. All found that customers—the distributors retail chains—achieved major improvements lowering an average 32% 55%. However, although eight increased sales as direct result CRP, only two could claim management production, one achieved lower internal inventories. more CRP experience had efficient processes greater portion total customers.
