摘要: Abstract The microstructures of thermally sprayed coatings usually incorporate process-dependent defects such as globular pores, interlamellar cracks (in case ceramics), etc. Porosity is a prevalent feature in the microstructure and affects various coating properties elastic modulus, thermal conductivity dielectric behaviour. This study conducted to improve image analysis (IA) reliable method for characterization porosity coatings. versatility IA methods microstructural quantification has been investigated TBCs deposited with partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ), alumina zirconia–alumina composite by gas tunnel type plasma spraying. confirms applicability straightforward, versatile, inexpensive agreed qualities influences Vickers hardness. paper also discusses behaviour high temperature oxidation resistance Al 2 O 3 compared at interface. interlayer preferred minimize detrimental effect phase transformation γ-Al α-Al .
