Climate change in Algeria and its impact on durum wheat

摘要: According to IPCC reports, the Mediterranean basin and particularly North African area are amongst most vulnerable regions climate change. However, information concerning zone is very limited, studies on change have never been conducted in Algeria up now. This paper aims at bridging this gap initiates a first research impact of durum wheat cropping, strategic commodity food system national economy Algeria. Climate projections for distant future (2071–2100), obtained from ARPEGE-Climate model Meteo-France run under medium A1B SRES scenario, introduced into simple agrometeorological crop previously validated with field data.
