摘要: Purpose. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the short-term and long-term outcomes emergency Lichtenstein tension-free hernioplasty for acutely incarcerated inguinal hernia. Methods. We conducted a retrospective patients who underwent hernia between September 2002 January 2006 in major city hospital Thailand. analyzed early postoperative complications surgical outcomes. Results. All 24 were men, with mean age 53.8 ± 19.2 years (range 19–77). There no perioperative mortality only two (8.3%): subcutaneous fl uid collection, which resolved spontaneously within 2 weeks; superfi cial site infection, treated successfully by intravenous antibiotics. stay 3.8 2.1 days 2–12). attended regular follow-up visits (mean 20.2 10.7 months, range 3–43). Clinical recurrence found one patient (4.2%), 7 months postoperatively. Conclusion. can be used effectively as an operation good outcome acceptably low rate complications.
