摘要: Structural studies have been carried out on Ag{sub 2}V{sub 4}O{sub 11} (silver vanadium oxide, SVO) and Li{sub x}Ag{sub 11}, lithiated SVO with x=0.72, 2.13, 5.59 using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). Lithium-7 NMR indicates the formation of a solid electrolyte interphase layer x=0.72 sample lithium intercalation into both octahedral tetrahedral sites in lattice, that most but not all Ag (I) is reduced prior to initiation V(V) reduction. Vanadium-51 show decreased crystallinity increased lithiation, as previously reported. Silver XAS indicate metallic silver crystallites samples. A comparison near edge spectra for these samples those reference compounds shows some reduction (V) occurs increases further lithiation leading V(IV) V(III) species. The results this study vanadium(V) parallel during initial stages ultimately (IV) (III) species lithiation.
