摘要: Abstract Background. A high incidence of hypertension (50 to 75 percent) occurs early in the course autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. Cyst enlargement, causing bilateral renal ischemia and subsequent release renin, is proposed as cause this form hypertension. Methods. To investigate hypothesis, we measured plasma renin activity aldosterone concentrations during short-term long-term converting-enzyme inhibition 14 patients with due disease, 9 essential hypertension, 11 normotensive 13 normal subjects.
