摘要: Abstract Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is widely used in corrosion studies and coatings evaluation for metals. However, its applicability to conservation problems the field cultural heritage limited by practical difficulties of performing in-situ measurements on sculptures monuments. Authors have proposed use a gel polymer electrolyte (GP-E) cell as an electrochemical sensor overcome handling liquid electrolytes irregular surfaces. The aim this paper optimize design G-PE EIS metallic heritage, characterize detail possible effects configuration spectra. Parasitic impedances from reference electrodes been analyzed discriminate response working electrode that arising artifacts setup, order be able make accurate interpretation results. This has allowed optimizing different parameters designing effective tool assessment heritage.
