摘要: Neutron diffraction measurements on manganese-rich alloys are presented which provide information within the areas of magnetism and metallurgy. Three aspects alloy behaviour considered in present paper separate but related sections. In first these, decomposition metastable gamma phase is discussed. A detailed analysis diffuse scattering from a Mn-Ni alloy, for pattern shows characteristic cusp-like peak, made. Diffraction also Mn-Pd alloys. second section contributions to Mn arise short-range order The temperature variation described relation well defined parameters Cu3Au. third section, magnetic moment with composition, as derived neutron at low presented.
