摘要: Aim: To describe a new index, the ‘Significant Caries Index’ (SiC Index) with intention of focusing attention on those individuals highest caries scores in each population. Method: Attention is drawn to skewed distribution dental within given population, indicating that there are still large groups who have considerably more than WHO/FDI target level DMFT 3 by year 2000. The index calculated as follows: sorted according their values. one third population score selected and mean for this subgroup calculated. This value constitutes SiC Index. Results: Index can be easily used measure future oral health goals. Conclusion: should less 12-year-olds it hoped global goal reached at latest 2015.
