摘要: A sample of anorthosite from the granulite facies Morin Shear Zone (Quebec, Canada) was investigated for crystal preferred orientation and elastic anisotropy. Time-of-flight neutron diffraction data obtained with HIPPO diffractometer at LANSCE were analyzed Rietveld method to obtain distribution functions principal phases (plagioclase, clinopyroxene orthopyroxene). Texture microstructures are compatible plastic deformation aggregate under high-T conditions. All mineral depict a significant that could be related general top-to-the north shearing history Zone. patterns suggest (010)[001] in plagioclase (110)[001] likely dominant slip systems. Using P- S-waves velocities anisotropy calculated compared previous studies explore properties rocks different pyroxene-plagioclase mixtures. P-wave velocity, S-wave splitting increase content. Seismic is linked texture symmetry which can lead large deviations between actual measured along Cartesian XYZ directions (lineation/foliation reference frame). This prediction interpretation seismic data, particularly monoclinic or triclinic symmetries.
