摘要: Drăgusanu and Tanaka (1999) provide intriguing new chemical isotopic analyses of amphibolites gneisses from the Cumpăna Group, oldest lithostratigraphic unit in Getic‐Supragetic South Carpathians (Balintoni 1975; Pana 1994). Ten amphibolite whole‐rock data points form a linear trend plot measured ^(143)Nd/^(144)Nd against ^(147)Sm/^(144)Nd (Drăgusanu 1999, fig. 3). interpreted this as 1.57‐Ga isochron. This age corresponds to determined magmatism south and, if true, would be instrumental elucidating tectonomagmatic evolution Carpathian basement, which is obscured by younger orogenic cycles such Hercynian (Variscan) Alpine.
