摘要: Speech and language therapists (SLTs) have expertise in supporting schools meeting needs but SLTs are part of the health service. The First Schools Project was developed as a way collaborative working between speech therapy service primary for its evaluation Pawson Tilley’s (1997) model realistic (with principle explanatory causation) chosen. This innovatory use educational research. Realistic theories were form Contexts (possible explanations Outcomes), Mechanisms (the structures e.g. regular school visits) Outcomes. There two parts to inquiry. Part 1 concerned with identifying regularities (i.e., which occurring Outcomes) questionnaire staff used. purpose 2 explain those by collecting data that would support, modify or challenge theories. A version interview (Pawson, 2006) used stakeholders (parents, teachers SLTs). facilitated identified suggestions made future education researchers who choose evaluation.
