摘要: Summary The accumulation of carotenoids, phytol and chlorophyll in etiolated wheat seedlings during exposure to white light was determined after treatment with the herbicides amitrol'l), Sandoz 6706 9789. inhibit carotenoid, phytol, same extent. is, however, more strongly inhibited by action amitrol than that carotenoids less phytol. main carotene be detected inhibition lycopene. Amitrol leads new species (isolated as pheophytins) which contain all-trans-geranylgeraniol dihydrogeranylgeraniol instead alcohols were isolated saponification corresponding pheophytin fractions identified thin layer gas chromatography mass spectrometry. chlorophylls are considered intermediates biosynthesis.
