摘要: The enhanced biological phosphorus removal process makes the recovery feasible from dewatering streams of sludge. physicochemical properties these sidestreams, as an input to a crystallizer, are different before and after anaerobic digestion. In this study, by calcium phosphate is proposed for pre-digestion sidestreams struvite precipitation post-digestion sidestreams. thermodynamic modeling followed experimental tests was performed evaluate efficiency product phosphates. variations in potential, reaction kinetics particle size distribution emphasize importance adjustment initial supersaturation pH reaction. optimum pH, considering economics efficiency, both found be = 8.5, whereas further increase will not improve overall process. case precipitation, it shown that possible phase transformations should considered controlled they affect properties. economic evaluation indicated optimized operational condition determined chemical costs production phosphates lower than struvite.
