摘要: Recent surveys of the shark and ray catches artisanal fishers in Western Province Papua New Guinea (PNG) resulted rediscovery threatened river sharks, Glyphis garricki glyphis. These represent first records both species PNG since 1960s 1970s highlight lack studies biodiversity PNG. Two individuals G. three glyphis were recorded from coastal marine waters Daru region October November 2014. The two specimens small estimated to be 100–105 cm ~113 total length (TL). all mature, one a pregnant female adult males. are adults date providing more accurate maximum size for this species, i.e. ~260 TL.
