Social Identity and Social Justice Orientation among Social Work Graduate Students: Examining the Role of Perceived Injustice and Self-Efficacy.

摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine predictors social justice orientation among work students by employing a psychological framework explore trajectories through which identity shapes an individual’s worldviews and engagement with justice. It hypothesized that perceived injustice self-efficacy would simultaneously mediate the relationship between critical awareness one’s their interest in activities, commitment future efforts, belief change mission work. Participants completed measures racial gender (Gurin & Markus, 1988), just world (Lipkus, 1991), self-efficacy, interest, (M. J. Miller et al., 2009) (Santangelo, 1993). One hundred thirty one (131) Masters Social Work online surveys March April 2012. Results indicated both mediated relationships interest. However, only also commitment, while Findings call attention importance professional socialization toward work’s values education, as well empowering become agents regardless practice orientations. Implications for education career counseling are discussed.
