Effects of Ginkgo biloba extract on cytokines in rats with TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis

摘要: AIM: To investigate the effects of Ginkgo biloba extract (Egb) on cytokine profile produced by splenocytes, colonic mucosa and serum to study main mechanism EGb in protection TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis rats. METHODS: A rat model was induced 2.4.6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS). All rats were divided into four groups: normal, TNBS, TNBS+NS, TNBS+EGb. The macroscopical histological changes colon evaluated. IL-12, IFN-γ IL-4 mulosal analyzed with ELISA. RESULTS: In TNBS+EGb group, scores significantly lower than those TNBS group (2.83 0.94 vs 5.33 1.50, P <0.01, 1.92 0.67 4.33 0.98, <0.01). a level production splenocytes (60 21.5 125.6 14.6, <0.01); (202.8 49.6 431.8 57.6, <0.01) (8.6 1.4 13.5 1.7, noticed as compared group. comparison increased (splenocytes: 11.2 1.3 6.05 1.5, <0.01; mucosa: 10.2 1.9 6.9 1.4, serum: 7.9 1.8 4.2 1.1, IL-12 that (8.2 2.2 25.8 4.8, ratio IL-12/IL-4 (serum: 1.13 0.49 6.4 1.8, (splenocytes:5.2 2.0 21.9 4.9, 20.9 7.97 65.9 18, 1.1 0.3 3.4 0.8, CONCLUSION: ulceratived is Th1 type dominant (IL-12 overproduction)murine model; has protective suppresses maintaines balance helper T cell 1 2.
