摘要: Arousal is largely controlled by the ascending arousal system of hypothalamus and brainstem, which projects to corticothalamic responsible for electroencephalographic (EEG) signatures sleep. Quantitative physiologically based modelling brainstem dynamics theory described here, using realistic parameters, links EEG are outlined. Verification against a wide range experimental data described, including under normal conditions, sleep deprivation, stimuli, stimulants jetlag, plus key features wake EEGs.
