摘要: A procedure has been developed for deconvoluting line-of-sight average measurements of droplet-size distribution and optical extinction into the actual radial variations droplet number density in axisymmetric sprays. Preconditioning data via spline smoothing was shown to be necessary prevent a complete loss accuracy central region spray. After preconditioning, uncertainties propagated about 1:1 deconvoluted results. Cumulative truncation errors worst-case analysis approached 15% sample typical hollow-cone spray is presented.
