Impacts of Social Network on Therapeutic Community Participation: A Follow-up Survey of Data Gathered after Ya'an Earthquake

摘要: Background: In recent years, natural disasters and the accompanying health risks have become more frequent, rehabilitation work has an important part of government performance. On one hand, social networks play role in participants’ therapeutic community participation physical & mental recovery. other communities with widespread can also contribute to recovery after disaster. Methods: This paper described a field study earthquake-stricken area Ya’an. A set 3-stage follow-up data was obtained concerning villagers’ community, network status, demographic background, factors. The Hierarchical linear Model (HLM) method used investigate determinants on participation. Results: First, significantly impacts annual changes Second, there were obvious differences education between groups mobilized by self-organization local government. However, they all exerted mobilization force through acquaintance networks. Third, cadre villagers could negatively influence activities self-organized while positively government-organized activities. Conclusion: suggests that relevant departments need focus reconstruction cultivation capital process post-disaster These findings better understandings how participation, what public improvement disasters.
