摘要: Studies of the structure, dynamics, and function membrane proteins (MPs) have long been considered one main applications solid-state NMR (SSNMR). Advances in instrumentation, plethora new SSNMR methodologies developed over past decade resulted a number high-resolution structures structural models both bitopic polytopic α-helical MPs. The necessity to retain lipids sample, high proportion type secondary differential possibility local disorder loop regions all create challenges for structure determination. In this Perspective article we describe our recent efforts directed at determining functional dynamics Anabaena Sensory Rhodopsin, heptahelical transmembrane (7TM) protein. We review some established emerging methods which can be utilized SSNMR-based determination, with particular focus on those used ASR, bacterial protein shares its 7TM architecture G-protein coupled receptors.
