Pattern Matching Techniques to Identify Syntactic Variations of Tags in Folksonomies

摘要: Folksonomies offer an easy method to organize information in the current Web. This fact and their collaborative features have derived extensive involvement many Social Web projects. However they present important drawbacks regarding limited exploring searching capabilities, contrast with other methods as taxonomies, thesauruses ontologies. One of these is effect its flexibility for tagging, producing frequently multiple syntactic variations a same tag. In this paper we study application two classical pattern matching techniques, Levenshtein distance imperfect string Hamming perfect matching, identify tags.
