摘要: Using Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA), this paper centered on analysing the impact of Crop Diversification (CD) farm level technical efficiency in Afghanistan. Data from a household survey conducted 2013-2004 by Central Statistic Organization (CSO) is used analysis. The results revealed that adoption diversified portfolio crops farmers significantly improves efficiency. In addition, access to extension services, size, cattle, oxen and tractor ownership households, regional variables were other important factors affect It evident estimated indices preferred truncated normal distribution range 1.5% 99.29%, with sample mean 71.9%. basic SFA model was investigated for potential endogeneity crop diversification. Instrumental Variable (IV) method employed correct IV estimation reveal failing account leads downward bias which consistent attenuation (measurement error CD implies OLS coefficients are biased towards zero, so one would predict greater absolute size). diversification index showed presence relatively low Maximum likelihood translog stochastic frontier shows land, labour, purchased inputs (fertilizer, seeds, pesticides usage) have positive revenues. show an evidence constant returns scale.
