摘要: Aqueous extract of air-dried lambsquarters (Chenopodium album) at 25 mg/ml significantly inhibited germination and growth radish wheat seeds. Soybean seed was not inhibited; however, hypocotyl reduced. Germination seeds in sand amended with pulverized shoots 2 4 mg/g reduced 40 95%, respectively. Shoot dry weight plant height were also 30 9%, respectively, mg/g, but concentration. Residues after extraction water incorporated inhibitory, indicating solubility the inhibitor(s). decomposed for five days lost nearly 40% its inhibitory effect; 20% it still persisted days. The filtrate from ultrafiltration aqueous through a pad molecular-weight cutoff 1000 growth, that molecular inhibitor(s) less than 1000. Partitioning by series solvents resulted isolation an butanol fraction. Seven phenolics identified this fraction using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Paper chromatographic analysis revealed six bands, which one band withRf=0.83 Chlorogenic acid HPLC appeared to be principal component phytotoxin.
