Scientific Charge-Coupled Devices

摘要: The charge-coupled device dominates an ever-increasing variety of scientific imaging and spectroscopy applications. Recent experience indicates, however, that the full potential CCD performance lies well beyond realized in devices currently available. Test data suggest major improvements are feasible spectral response, charge collection, transfer, readout noise. These properties, their measurement existing CCDs, for future improvement discussed this paper.
