摘要: The need to account for scale dependence of mechanical responses ice fields is being noticed ever more often, e.g. (Overland et al., 1995; Dempsey, 2000). This challenge brings with it the study mechanics bridging different scales, and exigency deal non-deterministic phenomena. In this respect, powerful tools are offered by (i) spatio-temporal stochastic models, (ii) random media, (iii) finite elements, (iv) wave propagation in media. paper we review some advantages each these areas as well possible applications they offer fields. Due space limitations presentation is, necessity, brief selective, but hope offers a perspective on that exist further research.
