摘要: In this study the fractal characteristics of fifty-five digital elevation models from seven different United States physiographic provinces are determined using methods. The self-similar model tested in analysis is found to provide a very good fit for some landscapes, but an imperfect others. Thus, outright rejection does not appear be warranted, neither blind application. The three implementations dividers methods considered consistently produce lower dimensions than those produced by other methods, and do vary much between surfaces. Although cell counting method (applied itself) display consistent intersurface variation, generally variogram-based Among quarter-sections greater obtained variogram which surfaces on directional basis similar, average, entire-surface variogram.
