摘要: Solitary metastases to the pancreas are rare. Therefore value of resection in curative intention remains unclear. In literature there several promising reports about solitary metastasis mainly renal origin. Here we report for first time on surgical therapy a 1.5 cm pancreatic an adrenocortical carcinoma. The occurred almost 6 years after primary tumor. A partial pancreatoduodenectomy was performed and postoperatively adjuvant mitotane treatment initiated. During follow-up 3 years surgery no evidence tumor recurrence occurred. Resection tumors should be considered, even if mass is suspicious metastatic disease including cancer.
