摘要: Since the molecular self-assembly of nanomaterials is sensitive to their surface properties, packing structure on essential build desired chemical and physical properties nanomaterials. Here, a new nanosurfactant proposed for automatic construction macroscopic alignment layer liquid crystal (LC) molecules. An asymmetric (C60NS) consisted mesogenic cyanobiphenyl moieties with flexible alkyl chains [60]fullerene nanoatom newly designed precisely synthesized. The C60NS directly introduced in anisotropic LC medium self-assembled into monolayered protrusions because its amphiphilic nature originated by asymmetrically programmed structural motif LC-favoring LC-repelling groups. constructed phase-separation media amplify transfer orientational order from bulk, finally create vertical length scale. described herein can offer direct guideline interface engineering alignments.
