摘要: Abstract The coverage of bright platinum electrodes with formic acid molecules, oxygen atoms, and hydrogen atoms was determined as a function potential bulk concentration in 1 N HClO4 during anodic cathodic low-speed sweeps the range between evolution. Anodic charging curves were used. techniques are discussed. increases continuously below +0·4 V sweep sweep. It decreases increasing above 0·5 finally becomes negligibly small formation layer is slightly hindered presence starts at more potentials than HClO4. Hydrogen adsorption decreased by about 75 per cent if monolayer molecules present.
