Evolution of Residential Electricity Demand by End-Use in Quebec 1979-1989: A Conditional Demand Analysis

摘要: This paper presents some of the main conclusions a temporal analysis three large-scale electricity demand surveys (1979, 1984 and 1989) for Quebec residential sector with regression method called Conditional Demand Analysis (CDA). The study allows number about certain consumption trends by end-uses from 1979 to 1989 household type vintage category. For instance, results indicate that decreasing between 1984for typical dwelling equipped an electric space heating system was mainly related large decline in net consumption. Overall, our suggest permanent energy savings hove been realized system, due improvements standards changes consumer behaviour. These saving were partly offset increased purchase new appliances increase hot water.
