摘要: 1. Circulating concentrations of glucose, propionate, lactate and pyruvate, net exchange these compounds across the liver gut, were measured in lactating non-lactating dairy cows (a) normal fed state, (b) before, during after intravenous infusion an aqueous solution propionate or (lactating only) animals, (c) before 6 days food deprivation. 2. In gut output hepatic glucose uptake all higher group. There was a pyruvate cows. there by splanchnic bed (i.e. combined). 3. cows, infusions had following effects: decrease lactate; switch from to output; suppression bed; increase magnitude (propionate uptake)/(glucose output) ratio. Lactate did not affect uptake. 4. Food deprivation increased extraction decreased ratio both groups. 5. It is concluded that mechanisms exist ensure inverse relationship between availability cow utilization endogenously derived pyruvate.
