摘要: The recruitment of the Stenting and Aggressive Medical Management for Preventing Recurrent stroke in Intracranial Stenosis, an National Institute Neurological Disorders Stroke-funded clinic trial evaluating aggressive medical therapy vs. adjunctive intracranial angioplasty stenting high-grade symptomatic stenosis, was prematurely terminated by study Data Safety Monitoring Board. significantly higher 30-day death rate arm led to a conclusion from Stroke Executive Committee that management alone superior combined with stenting. authors discussed on potential pitfalls, which may render this premature explained needs continuing efforts investigating treatment stenosis.
