摘要: A new 14-item scale of general attitudes towards gambling (the Attitudes Towards Gambling Scale: ATGS) was developed for use in the 2007 British Prevalence Survey. The development is described. Based on responses a representative sample 8880 people 16 years age or more, evidence presented good internal reliability and statistically significant associations with range socio-demographic, own family lifestyle variables. Overall, all sub-groups except heaviest gamblers, were found to be negative: more believed that foolish dangerous, greater harm than benefit families, communities society as whole, reverse. majority, however, against prohibition gambling.
