摘要: Background: The human dermatoglyphic traits present variations within and between populations could be used for estimating the genetic distances populations. Aim: This study aims to characterize in Tunisian population analyze eventual differences men women individuals according their geographical distribution. Subjects Methods: Several have been determined analysed 343 Tunisians belonging six groups distributed on different regions. For statistical analysis, percent frequency, chi square test t-test were used. cluster analysis was applied D2 Mahalanobis distance matrix. Results: chi-square revealed high significant sexes frequencies of arches case fifth finger loops fourth left first finger. difference distribution whorl type statistically While no found ridge counts. Conclusion: intra-Tunisian shows that living North expanded East Centre Tunisia are genetically very close, while from extreme Center South relatively less close them. conclusion agrees with deduced recent molecular marker analyses multivariate a number quantitative digito-palmar represents powerful shrewd tool intra-population analyses.
