摘要: Riparian ecosystems harbor significant biodiversity and support essential ecological functions that affect ecosystem services provision for human well-being. Anthropogenic disturbances often exceed the natural resilience of these thus resulting in their degradation. Ecological restoration promotes restoring riparian services, but its success depends on several aspects. This work bases a study case to exemplify problem from an ‘integral’ perspective discusses ecological, socio-economic legal aspects can influence forests. While have been considerably developed, information economic (e.g. production costs), social acceptance) constraints incorporation public programs) are still limited being applied at broader scales. Estimating could be restored forests may help integrate Addressing local level will provide future development more efficient regional strategies terms benefit-socioeconomic cost ratio. Finally, we discuss some recommendations relating conservation, management humid tropics Mexico.
