摘要: Abstract Synchronised electrical current and high speed video information are presented from individual discharges on Al substrates during PEO processing. Exposure time was 8 μs linear spatial resolution 9 μm. Image sequences were captured for periods of 2 s, which the sample surface illuminated with short duration flashes (revealing bubbles formed where discharge reached coating). Correlations thus established between current, light emission channel (externally-illuminated) dimensions bubble as it expanded contracted. Bubbles radii 500 μm, within 100 μs, peak growth velocity about 10 m/s. It is deduced that occurs a consequence progressive volatilisation water (electrolyte), without substantial increases in either pressure or temperature bubble. Current continues to flow through expands, this (and related increase resistance) thought be responsible being cut off (soon after point maximum radius). A semi-quantitative audit transformations different forms energy take place lifetime discharge.
