摘要: The aim of this study was to investigate adrenergically stimulated glucose uptake in brown adipose tissue (BAT) with the focus on receptor subtypes and intracellular signalling pathways. As a model system, we used primary cultured adipocytes.Adrenergic stimulation occurs via β3-AR wild type cells β1-/α1-ARs β3-KO cells, includes activation adenylyl cyclase cAMP formation, PKA, PI3K, PKC AMPK (Paper I, II, III). Interestingly, UCP1 activity is not required for function adipocytes Long-term adrenergic induces an increase GLUT1 mRNA protein levels stimulating translocation plasma membrane IV).
