摘要: AbstractMacroinvertebrate biological monitoring in Victoria, Australia, has required substantial resources over the past decade, and often results have taken years to reach water managers. Ways of reducing time effort this program were examined. The influence taxonomic resolution sample habitat on classification ordination 165 stream sites 27 catchments across Victoria was examined by progressively level detail original data. Macroinvertebrate samples collected from 2 habitats (riffle edge) at each site. A 3rd data set generated amalgamating individual habitats. These 3 treatments analyzed family, genus, species level, a 4th treatment including Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Trichoptera (EPT) taxa only.
