A continental scale evaluation of rainwater harvesting in Australia

摘要: Abstract In this study, we have examined the viability of rainwater harvesting system in whole Australia terms water savings, reliability and financial viability. Three different cases use been considered: (i) toilet flushing laundry; (ii) irrigation; (iii) combination flushing, laundry irrigation (combined). The analysis is performed using data from 601 Australian rainfall stations. results show that a considerably high (80–100%) for ‘toilet laundry’ use. For ‘combined’ use, drops below 50% most continent. We presented detail spatial distribution savings tank size 7.5 kL. It found benefit cost ratio over one can be achieved under certain conditions. findings study will useful sustainable resource management system.
