Accurate self-synchronizing technique for measuring transmitter phase and frequency errors in TDMA digitally encoded cellular systems

摘要: Measurement of phase and frequency errors, affecting the transmitted signal in digitally encoded cellular systems, is discussed here. To this aim, a new, cost-effective technique, particularly suitable time domain multiple access (TDMA) proposed. In contrast to other measurement methods or instruments, proposed technique gains burst synchronization on analyzed through digital signal-processing, thus avoiding need sophisticated expensive analog triggering solutions. Only general-purpose data acquisition system is, fact, required capture proper window signal, preliminarily down-converted intermediate frequency. Furthermore, same way as errors are evaluated according standard signal-processing procedure, which applies both for actual reference trajectory signal. The makes trajectories available just at end aforementioned stage, also optimizing computational burden.
